Clearly State the Goals You Desire to Achieve Them

It is very important to know exactly what goals you would like to achieve so they become reality.

You must make them vividly clear what goals you want before you can expect to have them become true. Many people just generalize what they desire in life instead of being specific about what they really do want.

Not only do you need to be specific about what goals you want but you must live them, breathe them and be expecting them. If you really get excited about them you won't ever get them off your mind. They will even become part of your dreams when you go to sleep.

Let me give you some examples. If you want a new house you have got to know how big it should be in square feet; what is it made off; brick, stone, wood or siding.

You must need to know how many bedrooms and baths do you want it to have? Do you want a den with a bar and entertainment center? How about a swimming pool with a large deck around it, would you like that?

Do you want it to have one or two garages or just a carport? What size lot do you want the house to be on? And do you want it to be in the city or in the country or in another state?

This is basically the type of information you need to go through when setting goals if you are truly sincere about reaching any of them. Whether you want to enjoy a better financial condition, better health, new job, whatever you want, this is the process you need to implement.

I learned this process at an early age when I wanted to buy a new automobile. At first I hadn’t decided on the exact automobile I wanted until I started to visit various car dealers.

So I started doing that by visiting the dealers in my city. Back then there were several of them; Oldsmobile dealers; Dodge; Ford; Buick; Studebaker and Chevrolet were the ones I remember.

Eventually I settled on a 2-door Chevrolet automobile. I think they called it a Town Sedan. I believe I settled on wanting the Fleetline Deluxe. I wanted it to be metallic green, have white wall tires, on the inside have beautiful grey fabric upholstery and a deluxe radio.

Now at that time I was only in my teens working part time after school for my dad in the family florist business without a dime to buy what I wanted. So dad made a suggestion how I could accumulated some income to buy the car I wanted.

Since he was paying me a small salary he suggested this. Each week he would take so much from my salary and put it in the company safe. So I agreed to that and when I had enough for a down payment we would purchase the car and he would go with me to the bank to set up financing for the balance. (Of course I would make the monthly payments but he would co-sign for me because I wasn't old enough to do it myself.

Well that has been a long time ago but my dream came true in 1949 when I was able to purchase a metallic green Fleetline Chevrolet 2- door sedan just like the one I envisioned. It had white wall tires, beautiful grey fabric upholstery and a deluxe radio.
I do also remember it did have a high performance engine. But no air-conditioning or power steering was available then. So I plucked $750.00 down payment and agreed to pay $49.50 s month for two years to make it my first brand new automobile at 19 years of age.

I continue to set goals all the time for the things I want to have and achieve in life. The process has been responsible for many things I have wanted to achieve in my life.

It helped me change my career in life at 42 years of age; help me earn a larger income when I changed careers and eventually buy a second home in Florida at retirement in a manufactured home community.
