5 SECRETS TO HAPPINESS
I was in a commercial bus one day going to my house when a lady and her little baby girl at about 6yrs of age hopped in. Immediately she sat, her baby girl started singing, dancing and was really shouting. She was happy and it was all over her face. She then started jumping not caring about her mother who carried her on her back, her mum then got angry and angrier at her daughter’s shouting and jumping but the girl was never concerned and never looked into her mother’s face.
She was so happy and it was written all over her face. Been excited over the little girl’s happiness, I decided to do a bus survey on every other face in that bus, trust me everyone was having a frowned face asides the little and me…#wink
One very thing that you can hardly keep to yourself is happiness. Happiness is that state of mind that ends up been obvious on one’s face. When one is happy, extremely happy, his countenance says it all and such a person starts extending such happiness either consciously or subconsciously.
The sad people
According to my personal research, an average man lives most of his life (more than 50yrs) been sad. Why been sad? Is happiness a season? Are we really in control of been happy or do the things that happen determine our happiness? Do the negative sides of life determine man's state of happiness?
According to Jim Rohn in one of his talks, he stated that happiness is a study. As it's principled that if you wish to be wealthy, study well, same applies to happiness, if you wish to be happy, study happiness. He later explained that happiness is an act, a pracice. Study and practice make you sophisticated, rich in happiness. You design happiness.
No matter what situation life throws at you, no matter hard life pushes you, with a sincere and open state of mind, you can live a happy life with these well-structured
5 SECERTS TO HAPPINESS.
1 Engage yourself in what you passionate about - "It's amazing how disconnected we become to the things that brought us the most joy in favor of what's practical," says Rob Levit, an Annapolis, Md.-based creativity expert, speaker and business consultant. Like success, life's a journey not a destination. Get involved in things you have passion for, you do with ease forgetting that you're yet to eat. It's obvious people run life's race forgetting about happiness but just after results like paycheque and satisfying others when they themeselves end up not satisfied nor happy. Happiness is a state of mind. We've got to get connected in every aspect to what we do for happiness to be brought forth.
2 Accept yourself the way you are - Fact remains that we're all unique in our own different way. Accept yourself for who you are. Change for no reason but but always opened for an improved and better you, not because the old you is bad but because there's always room for improvement and the old you can always improve. Aspire to be like the luminaries [those who have been there, done that, and suceeded] not being them. Someones's opinion or definition of you does not have to become your reality. Appreciate everything and action of you because the moment you don't, nobody does. Finally, there's no such quality as being more of youreslf. You become priceless and happy seeing yourself peculiar and different from others.
3 Always fight yourself to forgive - It's only in a supernatural movie we see extraordinary things like going back in time done. In reality, the deeds are already done, and you can revert. So, the most logical thing to do is think about moving forward and getting involved into other better and productive issues. Another thing is learning how to accept fate (its uncontrollable) and deny defeat (it reminds you that the game isn’t over). You can only control yourself and the decisions you take (what happens next). With these in mind, moving on with life seems easy. Life is time, spend those quality times doing and thinking of something great with positive result. The best revenge ever is coming back Successful, stronger and better than you were. Letting go of the hurt and bad moments gives one an opportuniity and hope for a better things to come, happy and optimistic.
4 Never forget the good moments life brought your way - keep them in your memory as every good time fights and conquers every bad time. Every good moment gives one resoon[s] to smile and be happy for a more better and improved tommorrow when the bad times come. One beautiful thing about the unforgotten good moments is that they help avoid the avoidable bad moments and deal with the unavoidable bad moment. Life is like a rollercoaster, sometimes you are up, and sometimes you are down. Sometimes things go well and sometimes they don't. But never forget that in the fat time, you put it in your pocket and in the lean time, you put it in your heart.
6 Make others happy - Check out on others, how life's been treating them, how they've been coping. Crack jokes, tickle them and make them happy. Give them reasons to live, fight and live. Help them to stand reminding them to always fall on their back because if they can look up, they can stand and rise up above that so called limit. Encourage and make them realise that losing is far different from been defeated. Giving up is the real defeat. Once you share and instill happiness, there's always a tendency of you being happy.
